MOW NR2 WARSZAWA

 

 

Mlodziezowy Osrodek Wychowawczy nr 2 (Youth Training and Social Rehabilitation Centre) in Warsaw was created in 1934, when the Michalina Moscicka Charity Association founded the establishment taking care of girls at risk of prostitution.

 

It is a specialised total care institution of a social rehabilitation character. We have from 48 to 54 places for girls from 13 to 17, sent to our institution by a decision of the juvenile courts.

 

Our institution consists of three parts:

-         boarding school (boarders create 4 groups, 3 educators are responsible for each group)

-         primary school (school organisation is changed accordingly to current needs)

-         secondary school.

 

Basic goal of our work is the social education and rehabilitation of the youngsters aiming at best possible adaptation of them to the social roles they are supposed to play in a foreseen future.
